Tickets and prices

• How can I buy a ticket at concession price?

  The museum does not offer reduced-rate tickets. All tickets include admission to the museum ’s permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. However, admission is free for certain visitors.

• Can I buy fast-track tickets?

  To ensure admission on the day of your choice, purchase your tickets online .

  Carte Louvre holders have priority access via the Richelieu entrance (Amis du Louvre, CLEF and CLEF+, Louvre Young Patrons Circle, Louvre Patrons Circle, International Council of the Louvre, Louvre Decorative Arts Circle, Friends of Delacroix, American Friends of the Louvre).

  Groups who have booked a time slot have priority access via the Richelieu entrance .

   

• Can I get a refund?

  The sale of museum admission tickets or related services is considered a sale of leisure services and confers no right to a withdrawal period. Tickets are valid for the chosen time and date only,  and cannot be modified, exchanged or refunded.

  Times and dates cannot be modified once booked.

  However, in the event of a cancellation or modification of the relevant service by the Louvre, you will be entitled to a refund. Refund eligibility criteria are specified in the museum’s Terms and Conditions .
   

• Can I use my ticket to access temporary exhibitions?

  Tickets include admission to all Louvre collections and to the Mus ée National Eug ène-Delacroix, on the day of your visit to the Louvre or on the next day the Mus ée National Eug ène-Delacroix is open.

  Note: for access to exhibitions in the Hall Napol éon, visitors must book a specific time slot.

• Can I visit the museum for free? Do I have to book tickets?

  Admission to the Mus ée du Louvre and the Mus ée National Eug ène-Delacroix is free upon presentation of valid proof of eligibility.

  All visitors, including those entitled to free admission, are advised to book a time-stamped ticket via our online ticketing service. Choose a time slot and select the ‘free admission ’option corresponding to your situation. 
   

• Which entrance do I use if I have bought tickets online?

  The Pyramid is the main entrance to the museum . There, you will see a queue for people who have booked a time slot online.

  You can also use the Carrousel and the Porte des Lions entrances.

  Groups and membership card holders must use the Passage Richelieu entrance.

• What methods of payment can be used?

  The payment methods accepted at the museum ticket office are cash, bank card and 'Ch èques-Vacances' holiday vouchers.

  The Mus ée du Louvre accepts payment in euros (€) only.

  The payment methods for the Mus ée du Louvre and the Mus ée National Eug ène-Delacroix, as well as their terms of acceptance, are as follows:

  INDIVIDUAL TICKETS: 
  - Online bookings: bank card
  - Remote bookings: bank card, bank transfer and cheque
  - On-site sales on the day of admission (subject to availability): bank card, ‘ch èque vacances (ANCV)’and cash

  SELF-GUIDED GROUPS: 
  Tickets for self-guided groups must be purchased online by bank transfer.

  GUIDED GROUPS: 
  Tickets for guided groups must be purchased online by bank card, bank transfer or cheque.
   

• Can I modify my ticket?

  Your ticket is non-changeable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. It is valid only for the date selected. Once your reservation has been made, it is no longer possible to change the date or time slot.
